Parametric study of dilute alloy crystallization process

A. O. Gusev, O. V. Shcheritsa, O. S. Mazhorova

Abstract: The self-consistent model of dilute binary alloy crystallization in the cylindrical ampoule is considered. The mathematical model accounts for the crystallization interface movement, convective heat and mass transfer in the solution, diffusion heat and mass transfer in the crystal. The effect of the growth technique parameters on the crystal composition is studied.

Keywords: Stefan problem, phase transition, solution crystal growth, dilute alloy, mathematical modelling.
