Modeling flows with porous inserts using QGD-system of equations

Abstract: The paper proposes a model for calculating the “free flow–porous medium” flow, based on a generalized quasi-gasdynamic system of equations involving the Darcy–Forchheimer terms. Test calculations are presented for flows in a channel containing a porous plug and in a lid–driven cavity partially filled with a porous medium.
