The model of continuous photon scattering in one-dimensional approximation

Abstract: The scattering of photons in a homogeneous target is considered. An algorithm for the numerical solution of the one-dimensional photon transport equation in the approximation of one collision at a step in space is presented. In the approximation of average energy losses, an algorithm has been constructed for calculating the current density and energy release of recoil electrons formed during photon scattering. The effectiveness of the models is examined by comparing them with the results of full 3D transport simulations and direct collision simulations.
