Abstract: In the mesh-based numerical solution of problems of continuum mechanics, electrodynamics etc. on distributed computing systems arises the problem of a balanced grid distribution over the processors. To this end, the program of parallel decomposition of meshes was created. The complex includes two algorithms: a parallel algorithm for the geometric decomposition of meshes and parallel incremental algorithm for decomposition of graphs. The aim of this work is to carry out computer simulation to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed algorithms for the solution of some problems of magnetohydrodynamics.

Keywords: numerical simulation, mesh-based method, grids decomposition, parallel computing, gasdynamics, continuum mechanics.
