Abstract:
The numerical algorithms to evaluate the transformation of ionizing radiation in multi-component objects of complex geometry and inner structure are considered. These algorithms are based on the object description by using closed envelopes separating homogeneous parts of the object and provide the possibility of efficient application of the Monte Carlo method for simulating the scattering and absorption of photons in materials with the implementation of modern multi-processor systems. The paper presents Monte Carlo method modifications for some important problems of the ionizing radiation transformation. These modifications using increases the efficiency of numerical calculations, which is confirmed by the numerical experiments.
