M. E. Zhukovskii, E. G. Luk'yanova, S. V. Podolyako

Abstract: Technique of numerical modeling the radiographic images of complex multicomponent objects forming with counting absorption and scattering processes of penetrating radiation is considered in publication. The technique is based on effective description of 3D complex objects of piecewise-homogeneous structure using by accurate specifying envelopes dividing homogeneous parts of object. Constructed approach coupling with Monte Carlo method gives effective parallel computing method for analysis of peculiarities of forming radiographic images of inner object structure. Results of numerical investigation of influencing various photon interaction mechanisms on object imaging are discussed. In particular, the vital importance of scattering radiation is shown. Advantages of constructed technique in comparison with well known MSNP-codes are demonstrated.
