Abstract: Status of the preprint as a kind of scientific editions is discussed. Requirements for including a scientific journal into the List that is formed by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) are considered. Steps for raising of a status of the online scientific serial edition «Keldysh Institute Preprints» are listed. Procedures of the preprint’s editorial preparation and online/print publishing are given.
