The algorithm for calculating spatial and spectral electron distributions produced by interaction of penetrating radiation with objects

M. E. Zhukovskii, S. V. Podolyako, R. V. Uskov

Abstract: The algorithm for calculating spatial and spectral relativistic electron distributions injected from inner surfaces 3D-objects being under gamma-radiation were developed. The algorithm was realized as parallel code for calculating on multiprocessor computers. The developed method counts explicitly for small parameter of the problem — the probability of Compton scattering the quanta of penetrating radiation in thin object envelope. This fact allows greatly increasing the number of used photon trajectories for decreasing statistical error of calculations without additional computing time. Furthermore the approach gives possibility of simplification of logic part of algorithm. That raises the method reliability and processing speed of developed code.
