Model of animat searching behaviour

O. P. Mosalov, V. A. Nepomnyashchikh, V. G. Red’ko

Abstract: The model of an animat (artificial organism) searching for an extreme of a function of two variables has been created. The animat has a control system that contains an automaton (that is similar to M. L. Tsetlin's automatons with linear tactics), this automaton ensures certain inertia at animat’s decision making. The simulation has shown that at the natural choice of model's parameters the behavior of the animat corresponds qualitatively to the searching behavior of living organisms.
