Abstract: We investigate the interaction of synthetic diamonds of different density (in the form of powder, cakes, etc.) with neutrons. Numerical calculations of reactor with beryllium, diamond and diamond-mixed beryllium reflectors are performed. Calculations and comparisons of core critical sizes, Neutron flux and spectrums are carried out for different types of reflectors.
The main aim of the research is to determine the qualitative physical effects (in terms of neutron flux and spectrums) for using of new materials for reactor reflectors.

Keywords: reactor, new carbon materials, numerical algorithm.
