Comprehensive assessment of the fire hazard of vehicles operated in Russia

Abstract: This article presents a study devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the fire hazard of vehicles operated in Russia. The purpose of the study is to identify the key factors influencing the occurrence and spread of fires in a car, and to develop recommendations for improving fire safety. For this purpose, the analysis of statistical data on car fires that occurred in Russia for the period from 2017-2022 was carried out. A comprehensive assessment of the fire load of the most popular car brands in operation in the country has been carried out, taking into account the design features and materials used. An analysis of the causes of car fires caused by technical malfunctions was also performed to determine the dominant ignition factors.
