Abstract: The study of declarative memory is a topical area of neurophysiology. In the present work, we tested the possibility of short- term and long-term memory formation in laboratory mice in the novel object location task. The results indicate the possibility of forming both types of declarative memory using this method. We also showed that glutamatergic system plays crucial role in long-term declarative memory formation.

Keywords: declarative memory, novel object location, short-term memory, long-term memory.
