Abstract: This study is aimed at elucidating the mechanisms of memory formation in cognitive systems using a mouse model of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The pattern of activation of brain structures during the development and prevention of PTSD was investigated. Differences were shown in the level of activation of the structures of the fear network of the brain during the development of PTSD and the formation of aversive memory.

Keywords: cognitive systems, memory, post-traumatic stress disorder, aversive learning, protein synthesis inhibition, c-fos.
