Abstract: In this study we investigated the in uence of post-traumatic stress disorder on spontaneous behavior and resting state brain activity of animals. Using automated behavior analysis, Fos-neuroimaging and rest network mapping, we showed stressful experiences can alter spontaneous behavior, induced and spontaneous brain activity and patterns of functional connections in resting state neuronal networks long after trauma.

Keywords: PTSD, resting state networks, ñ-fos, spontaneous behavior, protein synthesis inhibition.
