Abstract: One of the important subtasks in creating visualization systems for simulation and training complexes is the synthesis of the volumetric dynamic effects. These effects include, in particular, processes like fire and smoke. The article deals with modeling technology based on using of noise functions, as well as with their real-time visualization by means of ray marching on the GPU. We also consider aspects such as the description of the effects in 3D modeling systems and their integration into the simulation and training complex.

Keywords: visualization, volumetric dynamic effects, ray marching, simulation and training systems.
