Activity of the corresponding member of Academy of Sciences of the USSR Isaak Semenovich Brook, talented engineer and outstanding scientist, was connected with power and computer facilities. Ability to foresee the most perspective directions in development of science and technology was peculiar to it. Basic researches by calculation of the modes of powerful power supply systems, modeling of these systems, automation of computing works, development of the theory, the principles of construction and use of the operating computers in the field of control and economy – problems to which he devoted all life.
