Abstract:
The distribution of the silver impurity in the volume of polycrystalline magnesium oxide after sintering at 1690 $^{\circ}$C is investigated. An abnormal dependence of the residual silver content on the initial fraction of the oxide was found. Studies of the detected effect depending on the size of magnesium oxide particles have been carried out. When the crystallite sizes are less than $20\mu m$, the effect of abnormal behavior is not detected.
