Abstract:
This work is a part of the complex researches conducted in the Center of geographic researches of the
KBSC of RAS on a numerical integrated assessment of susceptibility of geosystems of Central Caucasus
Mountains to dangerous exogenous processes and their comparisons on danger degree, including mudflows and landslides, on the basis of geoinformation methodology. The general characteristic of the district of the village of Karasu from the point of view of the actual and potential exogenous danger (mudflows, landslides) is presented, and also the facts of the landslide processes and sill (mudflow) cases taking place in this area in the summer of 2016 are presented and analysed.
