Abstract: The paper presents the features and principles of developing of distributed intelligent systems based on collective behavior. Specific features of the application of centralized and distributed approaches to solving intellectual problems is revealed. The possibility of using the Boids model for building a distributed intelligent multi-agent system is studied. The authors identified trends and patterns of collective behavior for solving the problems of distributed artificial intelligence.

Keywords: artificial intelligence, multi-agent system, collective behavior, Boids model.
