Abstract: The x-ray optics represents dynamically developing area of modern physical optics due to achievement of such areas of a science and engineering as micro and nanoelectronics, technology of processing of materials. The analysis of existing directions of x-ray optics is given. The greater attention is given to x-ray capillary optics. The applications of x-ray capillary optics for x-ray spectroscopy (XRS), x-ray diffractometry (XRD) and also methods with use synchrotron radiation are stated.

Keywords: x-ray optics, Fresnel lenses, the multilayered mirrors, full external reflexion, capillaries, a polycapillary lens, diffractometry.
