Abstract:
Incoherent inelastic neutron scattering on hen egg white lysozyme has been measured at temperatures 200, 280, and 311 K. Using the experimental results, the vibrational density G(ω) of states of hen egg white lysozyme has been determined. Both the Debye regime and section of G(ω) with a spectral dimension of [(d)\tilde] = 1.58\tilde d = 1.58 , which corresponds to the fracton regime, have been observed in the low-frequency part of the density of states for all temperatures.
