Abstract: An approach is developed for the description and analysis of sequential dynamics of excitatory neural networks. It is based on the reduction of dynamics of networks to the dynamics of cellular automata on the graph of connections. We apply our approach to network of Hodgkin–Huxley neurons coupled by chemical synapses.
