Possible nanomachines: nanotube walls as movable elements

Abstract: Possible types of nanomachines based on many-wall carbon nanotube and their operation modes are considered. Potential relief, energy barriers for nanotube wall relative motion are studied. Principally new nanomachines based on thread-like relative motion of nanotube walls are proposed.
