Abstract: It has been shown analytically that an excited particle surrounded by immobile unlike atoms does not emit at a certain number of surrounding atoms. The necessary condition is the smallness of the region occupied by the particle and its environment compared to the wavelength of a photon emitted by an isolated particle in electromagnetic vacuum.
