Abstract: An analog of the chiral separation effect and the chiral magnetic effect has been studied for fermions in one spatial dimension. The relation of these effects to axial anomaly in the epsilon substitution method has been demonstrated. The grand canonical potential has been calculated for chiral fermions in one spatial dimension in the presence of the chiral chemical potential.
