Dissipative solitonic objects of transverse ultrasound in a deformed paramagnetic crystal

Abstract: It has been demonstrated that a deformed nonequilibrium paramagnetic crystal in an external magnetic field allows the existence of microsecond dissipative solitonic pulses of transverse ultrasound with a sub-GHz carrier frequency. It has been shown that this metastable object has a continuous free parameter remembering input conditions. The properties and conditions for the formation of such an object drastically distinguish it from both conservative and dissipative solitons.
