Abstract:
A simple model is proposed for the soliton-like conformational excitation transfer in the two-component bistable polymeric molecules with energetically nonequivalent stable states. The dependence of the soliton dynamics on the parameters of the nonlinear longitudinal excitation (the degree of compression or stretching and the propagation velocity along the molecular chain) is considered. It is shown that, under certain conditions, the longitudinal excitation can play the role of a trap for conformational solitons.
