On the algebraic properties of analytic functions of two variables

The study of analytic functions of two variables up to the action of functions of one variable (gauge pseudogroup) naturally leads to a discussion of the arithmetic properties of functions of two variables (binary operations) up to such an action. In this note, the properties of commutativity and associativity are discussed.
