Abstract:
The emissivity of a material is an important characteristic of structural materials, which determines the calculation of heat transfer in industrial machines and apparatus. Experimental measurement of the emissivity of the elements of the periodic system by the absolute radiation method in an atmosphere of an inert gas or in a vacuum. Titanium, zirconium, tin and lead have been investigated. The measurements were carried out on an experimental stand of our own design. The temperature dependences of the normal integral emissivity in the solid and liquid phases have been investigated. The temperatures of the experiments were limited by the vapor pressure of the materials up to the limiting state of the boiling of the elements.
