Abstract:
Features of bubble trapping during the impregnation of a micromodel of a double porosity medium with a liquid are investigated experimentally. A micromodel is created by means of a system of spatially ordered cylindrical columns in a flat microchannel. It is shown that the void content in the porous medium after impregnation depends on the capillary number and the wettability of pore walls. The proposed approach can be used for solving the practically important problem of analysis and selection of optimal impact on the impregnation of porous materials for minimizing the number of trapped voids.
