Abstract: The behavior of the sound spectrum of free oscillations of cylindrical ceramic samples for a light yellow face brick at the different firing conditions and hardening by additives of fine glass fiber wastes is interpreted. Correlation of frequencies and relaxation time of sound harmonics with internal defects and compressive and flexural strength is revealed. The proposed testing technique reduces the costs of industrial scaling of such technology of the ceramics hardening.

Keywords: building ceramics, acoustic control, strength, defectiveness.
