Analysis of electrical discharge machining

Abstract: Breakdown in liquid dielectric medium, plasma channel, and heat transfer in the course of electrical discharge machining are studied. Specific features and most important parameters of electrical discharge machining of titanium and aluminum alloys are determined. Theoretical, experimental, and simulated results indicate that the adequacy hypothesis can be accepted at a confidence level of 95%, since the Fisher criterion is no greater than the reference value.
