Abstract: This paper presents experimental and numerical results on radiation generation in the “water window” region. Based on the MHD model, the interpretation of the experimental results obtained on a compact gas-discharge radiation source was carried out. The data obtained makes it possible to carry out multiparametric optimization of gas-discharge radiation sources.

Keywords: capillary discharge, highly charged ions, emission spectroscopy, magnetohydrodynamics, numerical modeling.
