Abstract:
The spin exchange cross sections and the magnetic resonance frequency shift upon collision of two cesium atoms in the ground state are calculated. The calculations are carried out on the basis of the interaction potentials for the singlet $(X^{-1}\Sigma^+_G)$ and triplet $(a^3\Sigma^+)$ states of the Cs$_2$ dimer, reported in the literature in recent years. The results are compared with earlier data.
