Effect of the aggregate state of aluminum–cerium alloy on the splitting of the conduction band: Results of an optical experiment

Abstract: A variation in the electron population of the conduction band due to variation in the aggregate state of the Al–8 at% Ce alloy is demonstrated using optical experimental data: zero, partial, and maximum populations correspond to the melt, amorphous state, and polycrystal, respectively.
