Action of plasma jets of a low-current spark discharge on microorganisms (Escherichia coli)

Abstract: High efficiency of bactericide action of cold argon plasma generated by plasma jets of a weak-current spark discharge under atmospheric pressure is demonstrated. It is found that an increase in the time of treatment with plasma jets from a low-current spark discharge makes it possible to effectively inactivate microorganisms over a much larger area.
