Abstract: Linear correlation is established in glasses between the Grüneisen parameter and the ratio of propagation velocities of the longitudinal and transverse acoustic waves. An interpretation is given within the Pineda–Kuz'menko model to the relation between the harmonic and anharmonic quantities.
