Abstract:
The method of mathematical modeling was used to investigate the blood flow oscillations in human cardiovascular system. It was shown that with change of cyclic frequency of work of the pump (heart rate) in the range from 0.01 to 2 Hz the amplitudes of pressure and blood flow oscillations formed frequency-dependent dome-shaped curves with peak around 0.1 Hz. Strong dependence of size and position of peak on an axis of frequencies from factors of elasticity of vessels was revealed. The elasticity increase considerably reduces size of peak and shifts it position to the lower frequency domain. It was shown that for all considered heart rate frequencies in various segments of vascular bed the oscillations of pressure and blood flows had the constant phase shift in which formation elasticity plays a key role.
