Dicationic disiloxane ionic liquids

Abstract: Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ionic liquids containing disiloxane linkers between imidazole cations were synthesized. Their hydrolytic and thermal stabilities were explored, and melting points, viscosities, and volatilities in vacuo were measured. The effect of nature of the substituents at imidazole cations on the set of properties of the synthesized ionic liquids was revealed.
