Abstract: The hydrolytic polycondensation of trimethoxymethylsilane in the absence of catalyst and solvent under ultrasonic irradiation was performed, the effect of reagent ratio, power, temperature and irradiation duration on the process outcome was estimated. Thus obtained polyorganosilsesquioxanes were characterized by 1H NMR and IR spectroscopy as well as gel permeation chromatography.

Keywords: hydrolytic polycondensation, alkoxysilanes, trimethoxymethylsilane, polyorganosilsesquioxanes, ultrasonic irradiation.
