Abstract: Copolymers of l-lysine and l/d,l-leucine differing in amino acid composition were synthesized and characterized for their self-assembly into nanoparticles. The effect of polypeptide composition on critical aggregation concentration, hydrodynamic diameter of nanoparticles, their stability and cytotoxicity was explored and discussed.

Keywords: copolymers, lysine, leucine, amphiphilic polypeptides, self-assembly, critical aggregation concentration, nanoparticles.
