Abstract: The anodic corrosion of gold followed by its deposition on the cathode as a compact precipitate occurs upon electrolysis of weakly alkaline aqueous solutions of diaminoalkanes, among which 1,2-diaminoethane proved to be the most effective. The process has been characterized by cyclic voltammetry.
