Abstract: A new procedure for the analysis of saturated fatty acids by the MALDI-TOF method was developed using Langmuir–Blodgett technology and myristic, palmitic and stearic acids as examples. The advantages of proposed procedure include simplicity, rapidness, and high sensitivity of the analysis.
