New benzophenone phosphonate derivatives

Abstract: New well-soluble in 10% DMSO phosphonate derivatives of substituted benzophenone have been synthesized using different methods. Preliminary computer modeling of proposed structures in the reverse transcriptase HIV-1 hydrophobic pocket suggested these molecules as potential non-nucleoside inhibitors of this enzyme.
