Effect of curcumin on lateral diffusion in lipid bilayers

Abstract: Lateral diffusion in dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine lipid bilayers decreases in the presence of cholesterol and curcumin, as measured by 1H NMR spectroscopy, but the mechanisms of action of these two compounds are different.
