Abstract: Coupling of 6-(carboxy)alkyl-2,4-dialkylglycolurils with N-(hydroxymethyl)glycolurils gives N,N’-methylenebisglycolurils totally substituted at the nitrogen atoms, which are formed mostly as racemate diastereomers.
