Abstract: The first representative imidazolophanes bearing dimethylene(tetramethyl)disiloxane spacers were synthesized in one preparative stage by the reaction between imidazoles and 1,3-bis(iodomethyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane.
