Preparation of conjugated 6,6’-bibenzo[b]selenophenes

Abstract: 6,6’-Bibenzo[b]selenophenes were prepared from 4,4’-dibromobiphenyl by the Sonogashira coupling with terminal alkynes followed by heterocyclization with SeBr4.
