Abstract: 1,3-Cycloaddition of acrylonitrile, acrylamide, vinyl acetate and allyl alcohol to azido group of 3’-azido-3’-deoxythymidine under mild conditions afforded the corresponding adducts which were tested as inhibitors of HIV reverse transcriptase.
