Abstract: Comparison of the activity and CO selectivity of four principally different types of catalysts in CO2 hydrogenation, namely, LaNi5, Rh/ZnO–CuO, fumed Fe2O3–K2O–Al2O3 and Au/SO4–ZrO2, in the entire temperature range at an atmospheric pressure was performed. The use of the intermetallide LaNi5 catalyst provides an enhanced activity in CO2 hydrogenation with prevailing methane formation, while other catalysts demonstrated predominant formation of CO.
